Episode 7, Part 2: Science or Religion

We are often taught that religion is to one’s own interpretation which can cause a bit of conflict in people. Science on the other hand deals in absolutes whether they can be disputed or not. For instance, we know that when you boil water it evaporates into steam in a process that can be easily explained and demonstrated. On the other hand, when you tell someone to pray for what they seek and desire, there are no absolutes, and the explanation is that things happen in God’s time. For some faith is all one needs in order to satisfy their journeys in life but for others, fact is the more reasonable course. Then we encounter another dichotomy. How do we define fact when we look at faith vs fact?

Sun Sou X and I chose this topic that has been on our list to discuss because it is one for good debate regardless of where you stand. Even though we share a lot of similar views, we do look at certain aspects differently. the one thing that I think we mutually agree on is, does it really matter? To may it does and to many it doesn’t, but it takes the individual to look inside of themselves to truly decide.
